Vikas Trust

The thematic focus areas of Vikas Trust are empowerment with specific focus on Child Rights, Women and Gender Development, Sustainable Livelihood, Health and Education, Entitlement Realization and Governance. Vikas Trust mainly works to ensure a child’s rights to education among other rights of survival, development, protection and participation.

Other than thematic agenda, Vikas Trust has been also working on Micro Finance Issue and mobilizing the communities members especially artisan and entrepreneur groups towards marketing and development of micro enterprise units and business development agenda.

Vikas Trust has been mainly working in child labour prone areas in glass and bangle, carpet and brick klin industry of Firozabad and Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. Vikas Trust has been also working with artisan groups with dalits and minorities focus in Etawah, Jalaun, Kanpur Dehat, Aligarh and Eta district of Uttar Pradesh.

The organisation is striving to bring positive changes in the lives of the poor and socially excluded groups with focus on dalits, minorities, women and child labour families. Vikas Trust wants to ensure social, economic and political enhancement of the poor and socially excluded groups in a way that they will be empower to assert their rights / entitlements and live with dignity.
